科研项目及获奖情况:成功申请约40笔科研资助(欧盟2020地平线、德国国科会、中国汉办、德国科学部、欧洲科学基金等等机构)2007-2019共计1,229,055.67美金

在2010-2011年在哈佛大学的研究期间,将博客作为报刊散文的再续进行了比较,前者讨论的话题与报刊散文类似。

研究成果以德语、英语和汉语在国际上与哈佛大学出版社、Harrassowitz等出版商共同发表在同行评议的期刊和章节书中。除了中文论文史专著外,在美国學術出版社还编辑了《德中协会公报》、《欧洲汉学杂志》、《欧洲汉语研究杂志》等刊物。

随着政府机构,美国象牙联盟大学,众多国际会议对他的演讲邀请。

2015年至2018年,在北京师范大学和南京师范大学担任了三年的客座教授,包括教学工作。为此,每周都飞往中国。

在美国,举办过国际会议,并应邀到耶鲁大学和哈佛大学演讲。

用中文和英文授课和进行研究,在美国、欧洲和中国的大学里有宾至如归的感觉。多年来,每年都组织国际会议,这些会议变得越来越受欢迎。2017年和2018年在德國维藤/海德克大学举行的最近两次会议中,有来自世界各地的约100名同事。

在成立于1957年的德国中国协会董事会任职20年后,于2017年当选为会长。此外还为泛欧和国际汉语研究协会做贡献。

目前进行的规模最大的国际研究项目是“地平线2020”项目,有来自欧洲各地的20多个合作伙伴参与,是一个关于中国研究史综合性国际项目。
